Kraftwerk performances are renowned as true "Gesamtkunstwerk," seamlessly blending music, performance art, visuals, and technology into a "total work of art". The multi-media project was founded in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in Düsseldorf, Germany, where they established their Kling Klang Studio and produced all Kraftwerk albums. Achieving international recognition by the mid-1970s for their groundbreaking electronic soundscapes and innovative experimentation with robotics and technology, Kraftwerk's compositions have left an indelible mark on various music genres including Hip Hop and all forms of electronic music. Their live performances, showcasing a symbiotic relationship between humans and machines, reflect their belief in the fusion of man and technology. From their retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2012 to subsequent presentations at prestigious venues worldwide, including Tate Modern Turbine Hall, Opera House Sydney, and Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Kraftwerk's influence and legacy continue to be celebrated. In 2014, Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider were honored with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
